BUDO PSYCHOSYNTHESIS
Budo Psychosynthesis is an original style and approach created after 42 years of education, training, practice, study and integration of lived experience(s). Budo means the "The Martial Way" or Way of the Warrior through finding one's way in life and putting that way into practice". Psychosynthesis means "A form of psychotherapy that combines psychological healing with spiritual development by integrating a higher level of consciousness with thoughts and emotions". Psychosynthesis is Prof. Oxford York's original school of group therapy for personal development and life skills training blending martial arts and psychotherapy practices. Prof. Oxford York is a Shihan meaning a "Teacher of teachers" and Renshi meaning "Polished Expert" in the martial arts world. He is recognized internationally, well respected and honoured for his teachings in the king and emperor martial arts. He holds the rank of 7th level degree Black Belt in Shorinjiryu Karate-jitsu and 2nd Level Degree Black Belt in Daitoryu Aikijujitsu. His unique style utilizes the mindset associated with Chinese and Japanese martial art principles and philosophy, and psychosynthesis to emphasize personal development and self-awareness.
